Adoption #2 Timeline

Here we go again!!  

We hope to bring home a little girl in the next few years.  The process of adopting from Ethiopia has changed alot since Luke joined our family over 2 years ago.  We have learned so much and know this journey will not be easy nor should it be.  God is not calling our family to this because it will be easy but because He has put it on our hearts since we landed in Ethiopia for the first time over 2 years ago.   Adoption is created from one of the biggest losses a child and parent could ever face.


6.17.13 - Holt sends branch states email announcing they are opening the Ethiopia program back up to previous Ethiopia Holt families.
6.17.13 - Submitted Holt's online application & paid fee
6.26.13 - Submitted required "welcome" documents back to Holt
7.2.13 - Fingerprinting done
7.3.13 - Hand delivered fingerprints to branch office
7.12.13 - Cassie's medical appointment
7.19.13 - Ryan's medical appointment
8.6.13 - Delivered completed Home Study to branch office
9.17.13 - Received approved home study!
10.4.13 - Mailed in I-600A to USCIS
10.10.13 - Notified (via email & text) USCIS has received our application
11.22.13 - Mailed our dossier to Holt
11.25.13 - Currently #42 on waitlist (before dossier approval)
12.4.13 - Dossier approved #37 on waitlist
1.3.14 - Dossier arrived in Ethiopia
